HTRAGS 2 - Le Postmortem

So I guess this is officially the death of How To Rob A Gas Station 2. I will no longer be updating it.

I know, this is disappointing because I never really did much with the game, and there was nothing much there to begin with.

But I didn't really like making HTRAGS 2.

I rushed it, I felt like I was taking too long so I put it out there in a state I didn't like.

For every week of productive development, I felt like there was 2-3 weeks of literally nothing.

And I also felt like I was making it just because I wanted to please fans rather than myself.

Anyways, I had a bunch of ideas I wanted to cram into the game, but it would've taken at least a year with the pace I was making it at.

I wanted a hell level at some point, I wanted a gun store where you can buy multiple weapons, I wanted to have a crowd in the game store that you could shoot at with said guns, I wanted secrets, I wanted an in-game playable How To Rob A Gas Station 2, I wanted to cram a lot in to the game.

But I would focus all of my attention and time onto one thing, lose motivation, then boom we're back to a several weeks of development.

Also adding voice acting was a big detriment, because making updates was not as easy. I'm lazy and I share a room, so that's why I had difficulty getting on the microphone and saying some lines.

But I don't want this whole thing to be doom and gloom, I'm not quitting game development altogether. I made a quick little physics sandbox demo on my website. And I am planning on taking one of the things I wanted and making it a dedicated game. I might talk about it later on the HTRAGS Speedrunning Discord server. There's not a proper POtO Software Discord server because I'm not big enough for that, so this will do.
