I know this is three months late, but I have just bought a MacBook. And I believe your error is caused because Apple wants macOS apps to be signed and notarized (it basically just lets macOS know that the app is not a virus) or else it'll claim it's "damaged"
There is an ending where you don’t leave after killing the clerk, yeah it’s weird. And I added the sink, microwave, and rats just to test out the interaction system/gun

The people, much like the player, looked on in horror as the man floated away from Earth. Did he ascend? Was it aliens? We’ll never know for sure.
Yeah... I was sort of in a rush to implement the 7th ending, the unsuccessful robbery. So I thought it was a good idea to make it a 25% chance to get that ending. I would update it to make it not random... but I don't know how many people would actually see the update so I don't know if it would be worth it.

As the Mac version is untested, I am unable to help you with that. All I can suggest is to re-download it or play it in the browser.

So I have 6 endings so far
- You successfully rob the gas station
- You shoot the guy before you leave and the police get you
- You talk to the guy before picking up the chips at all
- You get the "glitch" where you fly into the air
- You wander far enough from the gas station
- You blow up the gas station by shooting the gas tanks
Are there any more endings I am missing out on?
