this game is better than sex

(+1)

this is true. i have had sex several times and this is absolutly better.

(+1)

Can you make it for iOS?

(+1)

I might at some point. That's not a promise, though. Problem is that Apple REQUIRES a $99/year fee just to be able to put crap on iOS/macOS... I'm not fully willing on spending that much on something that I only might do and want to figure out.

The best game ever is an extraordinary and unparalleled masterpiece in the world of gaming, combining exceptional storytelling, innovative gameplay mechanics, stunning graphics, and immersive sound design. It captivates players with its richly detailed world, complex characters, and engaging plot, offering an experience that transcends traditional gaming boundaries and sets a new standard for the industry. Every aspect of the game is crafted with meticulous attention to detail, ensuring that players are not only entertained but also deeply moved and inspired by their journey through this remarkable digital adventure

Holy hell, I got about 20 endings, I couldn’t think of more to combine but this has to be one of my favorite games on the whole platform so far, amazing job!

5/5

my fastest time so far is 00:00:00:116

i think i got every ending, honestly game of the year

(+1)

i havent laughed at something in a while, this eased it up for me

i love this

(+1)

btw, what is the fastest was to finish the game?

(+1)

bruh, I found 2 random endings just by goofing off, 1 where you start randomly floating up after leaving your house (still don't know what I did) and 1 where you shoot that gas thing and you blow yourself up

It's some weird bug with the gravity code. I tried taking shortcuts cause I was like "oh the player doesn't need to jump" then that floating bug popped up and I gave up on trying to fix it so it's an official ending

Yo this game is cool

this have so much endings

(1 edit)

Hi I think I found a bug when I go back to the gas station a second time after seeing my ex with the gun. When I talk to the clerk he gives me the $590 and I return home it seems to revert back to being at my house before I grab the gun. Not sure if this is intentional or not but I did this about 5 times with nothing happening. It is free money tho....

(+2)

Oh wow, don't know how I or anyone else didn't catch that. Maybe it was intentional? I honestly do not remember, it's been so long.

Might just leave it in there cause 1: I'm lazy, and 2: it gives you another chance to go kill your ex (every man's dream... right?). Or I might update it to make it an easter egg where if you go back to rob it again, the clerk tells you that there's no more money.

Best game ever made.

the android takes a eternity to load after pressing start game.

TL;DR (Sorry, I like explaining things in-depth): It's most likely just to do with your phone, if you could tell me what phone you have, that would be greatly appreciated.

That's likely to do with your phone, if you could tell me the kind of phone you have that would be greatly appreciated. I just ran a test on my budget test phone (Samsung Galaxy A01 for reference) and it took about 12 seconds on the first loading screen.

The issue is that the GLES3 renderer used in the Android port runs fine on more powerful phones, such as my high(er) end test phone (Galaxy Note 8) and my personal phone (Pixel 7a), but on cheaper phones GLES3 takes much longer to compile shaders (the Vita port taught me that, because even the GLES2 renderer takes forever to "load").

Unfortunately, you can't switch the renderers on the fly with Godot games. There is a built in argument to force GLES2, but... there isn't an easy way to use that on Android (if not impossible).

Awesome

i found out about this game on the vita homebrew store. masterpiece.

(1 edit)

the screen just keep flashing black is there a way to fix that?

(+1)

Definitely no way to fix that in game… could be something with your computer. Are you playing on web or on desktop?

(+1)

it was the destop version but the web version is fine

Seems like your PC has an issue with OpenGL 3. Give me a bit, and if I remember I might upload a desktop version that uses OpenGL 2.

Alright the desktop versions got GLES 2, have fun.

(+1)

FANTASTIC!!!! PERFECT IN EVERY WAY

when sequel

it already exists

(-1)

My friend told me to actaully play this and im glad I did very dumb I enjoyed it I plan on recording HTRAGS 2 tomorrow!

Bro NEVER recorded HTRAGS 2 (actually don't record it till the update comes out the game sucks rn)

Brooo I recorded that MONTHS ago and scrapped it LMAO

(+1)

It looks like a humble game, but the ending of each step is unpredictable and hilarious to me. I must say that you are appreciated by an average Chinese player. Expect more fun mini-games. My baby

played this on my vita recently, so good

so much cus words

(+1)

Anyone topping this?

(+1)

ive only been able to get a 083, how did you get a 033? also why arent you looking at the mat

This game runs in 60fps, meaning the fastest possible speedrun is looking down and interacting with the mat in a single frame. This would give the time of 0.016s (1 / 60 = ~0.016). So far, I have been unable to get this time. My speedrun is done in 2 frames. (1 / 60 * 2 = ~0.033). This time still requires pretty much frame perfect inputs and took me many, many attempts to achieve.

As for the mat thing, the reason this happens is that upon moving the mouse, it changes the variable that stores the camera angle, but the camera doesn't react until the next frame. This means that if my speedrun skipped the first frame, then I completed the 2 inputs in the second frame (as I said above), the camera would not have had time to react to the movement before the game ended.

I'm not that great at explaining things but I hope this clears some things up for you.

(1 edit)

Of course, I can't be 100% sure of my reasoning for the camera thing, but it essentially all comes down to wether the code for registering camera input was placed before or after the code for drawing the screen.

Basically the reason it does that is because the game actually takes a screenshot then displays that as the background for the end screen. It's normally unnoticeable but with extreme speed like this, it likely just grabbed a screenshot the frame before the camera movement registered or something. Idk what really goes on inside the magical black box known as the Godot game engine

(1 edit)

Close enough lol, I'm totally a professional programmer

Nobody's played this game in 8.93 picoseconds?!
Now's your chance!
Yell "DEAD GAME XD" to become a cool kid!

(+1)

True ending speedrun

Sorry Mate : (

(+1)

do you have a .x86_64 version

(+1)

Yeah I do, do you also need a 64 bit version of HTRAGS 2?

(+1)

yes please need it for a video trying to get your game popular

(+1)

for some reason the start button in not working now

(+1)

Well that's weird... I gave the 64 bit version to someone else before and it seemed to work fine. I'm not familiar with Debian though (I use Arch btw), so I can't help you out there. My suggestion would just be to run the HTML5 version of HTRAGS1 since that version runs mostly well. But the HTML5 version of HTRAGS 2 isn't amazing with a lot of stuttering...

Anyways, sorry for the long ramble, here's the 64bit version of HTRAGS 2.

(+1)

thank you so much

(+1)

dont mind me asking but is html5 version website version or another

(+1)

Yeah, HTML5 is the web version

Hey man, do you mind if I translate your game into another language and upload it to another site?

I don’t mind, go ahead, just have a link to my itch page on your site.

thank you, I will definitely leave a link to you

Can you make the game for android? Im really want to play your game, but i dont have PC, or laptop

Hey sorry for the late reply. But I literally don’t have any Android devices to test with (yeah I’m a stinky Apple user) nor do I have the money for one. But if I get my hands on an Android phone I’d certainly port it.

Ok :) Thx for the reply!

hi, i like your game i wanted to ask you how hard is it to make a game in godot and do you think i should switch from unity to godot or even unreal.

 thx

I may be biased since Godot is all I know how to use in terms of game engines. But I'd say that making a game (at least a game like this) in Godot was pretty easy to do. About the only thing that may be weird from Unity to Godot is the node system and the fact that each node can only have one script. But other than that I'd recommend switching to Godot, especially with where Unity is going.

And if you decide to switch over, I'd be willing to help you get used to Godot

thank you for the awnser! is porting to ps vita possible with the latest version of godot and also im not a good developer and thinking how i could make things like your game in unity with my knowlage it looks very hard so if i switch i would gladly appreciate the help :)

sorry if i have bad english :D

Porting to PS Vita isn't possible with any official build of Godot, but Godot is open source so someone ported godot to the vita.

And it honestly wasn't too difficult creating HTRAGS, though that could be due to me being used to Godot. You could look at the source code to know how I did some of the more complicated stuff in HTRAGS (such as interaction, which was surprisingly easy)

New world record speedrun?

EDIT: Broke the last one

lmfao

jesus

i think this is a bug, when you start the game and click the back button in your computer, and go back to the game, you can't interact with anything.

(+1)

I was able to recreate the problem. It's probably just due to the browser not recapturing keyboard input (for some reason?) because I don't have any code that disables keyboard input.

I've gotten it to work again once after pressing esc and clicking a couple times. But it seems the only solution is to just refresh the page to make it work again

Mkay

Hi. Im like your game. What software you create the game?

I used Godot, it's free and open source

(5 edits) (+5)

It was fun.
I got 21 endings and I'm struggling to find the last one.

So far I got (SPOILERS):

1. The True Ending: went back to sleep immediately.
2. Flew up outside the gas station.
3. Abused the clerk without buying anything (Poor Ending)
4. Left without talking to the clerk.
5. Blew up the gas station.
6. Walked away from the gas station.
7. Followed the instructions and robbed the gas station. (Good Ending)
8. Shot the clerk and didn't go outside.
9. Spared the rats, shot the clerk, went outside and the rats saved me.
10. Shot the rats, shot the clerk, went outside, got arrested. (Bad Ending)
11. Shot the microwave, got the processor, used it with the gasoline pump, shot           the clerk, the police and became the president of the universe.
12. Got to the Mario level, saved the princess.
13. Shot the princess.
14. Fell off the Mario level.
15. Flew up the Mario level.
16. Shot the rats, killed by the Rat King.
17. Spared the rats, rewarded by the Rat King.
18. Shot every rat and the Rat King. Became the Rat King.
19. Shot my ex, I was saved by the rats, became president of the universe and got arrested, but these are the same endings.
20. Went to sleep after I met my ex at the gas station.
21. Went back to the gas station, shot the clerk, spared the ex and talked to her.

I'm so close if there are indeed 22 endings. What did I miss? Can anyone help me with that, please?
Edit: found the 21st ending.

(+3)

Yeah the ending you're missing is super specific, and I don't blame you and I honestly should've considered it as an Easter egg than an ending... oh well.

Anyways, you get the 22nd ending by killing a rat, talking to the rat king, then before you're killed, kill the rat king and take the crown.

It has unique text so I counted it as its own ending.

Never thought of that. I got it. Thank you!

szia csub

(1 edit) (+2)

Thank you for listing the endings,i could not complete it.

Speaking of the mario level, how do you get to the mario level?

how do you even confront the ex

When you get back to the house just turn around and walk out the door without grabbing your gun and she'll show up.

(+1)

This is a beautiful piece of art, thank you.

(+1)

question: what game engine is used for this game?

(+1)

Sorry for the late reply (so you might've already found out). But I used Godot to make this game
